π― IN MEMORY OF ANTON BUGAIENKO
Today, Birki bowed their heads in grief. Relatives, friends, brothers, fellow villagers, and government representatives accompanied the Defender of Ukraine Anton Bugaenko on his final earthly journey.
He is forever 27β¦
Anton was born on October 19, 1998 in the village of Rokytne, Novovodolazha district, Kharkiv region. Later, the family moved to Birki. It was here that he spent his childhood and school years, and here he remained with the people and places that were dear to him.
After school, Anton studied at the Merefansky Lyceum, where he acquired the profession of a tiler. He had golden hands, worked in Kharkiv, and was a skilled craftsman who was valued for his professionalism and responsibility.
In 2024, Anton joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a scout, and in 2026 he was transferred to another military unit, where he continued to defend Ukraine as a reconnaissance-miner. During his service, he showed courage, professionalism, and dedication to the military cause, earning the respect of the command and his comrades.
But behind the military uniform was an ordinary human life. Anton was a husband, a son, a friend, and most recently became the father of a little daughter, who is only five months old today.
He was supposed to return to her. He was supposed to see her grow, hear her first words, hold her hand when she took her first steps. He was supposed to raise a daughter with his wife, build a home, fulfill dreams, and just live...
But the war took this future away from him.
On May 21, 2026, Senior Private Anton Bugaenko, a reconnaissance-miner of the 1st Special Intelligence Group of the Special Intelligence Company of the Reconnaissance Battalion of the A0501 Military Unit, died while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Vasynivka, Polohivskyi District, Zaporizhia Region.
Today, Anton returned to his native Birki for the last time. Forever.
With tears in their eyes and unspeakable pain in their hearts, the community said goodbye to their Protector.
Anton, thank you for your protection. For your courage. For Ukraine.
In memory of the Defender of Ukraine Anton Bugaenko.
Sincere condolences to the Hero's wife, little daughter, mother, brother, who is also defending Ukraine today, family, loved ones, friends, and fellow soldiers.
Eternal memory and eternal glory.πΊπ¦
