LIGHTS MEMORIZE A HERO: ZMIIVSHYA LOST MAXIM KALINICHENKO.

The Zmiiv City Council reported the death of the Defender of Ukraine, sailor Maksym Kalinichenko, who until his last breath defended his native land from the Russian aggressor.

Maksym was born on June 19, 1995 in the village of Kostiantovka. He studied at Zmiiv Lyceum No. 2, and later earned a degree in rolling stock repairman at the Kharkiv Technical School of Railway Transport. After graduation, he worked at the Kharkiv Tram Depot.

After serving his military service, he returned to civilian life. He continued to work at the depot again. But when the Motherland called, he stood up for its defense. On April 12, 2024, Maksym joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a gunner of the marines' detachment of the marines' platoon of the marines' company of the marines' battalion of the military unit A4548.

He got married in September 2024. He had a whole life ahead of him, full of plans, dreams, and hopes. But the war turned out to be ruthless.

On October 25, 2024, while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Bogoyavlenka, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region, Maksym went missing. For his family, long months of painful waiting, prayer, and faith in a miracle began. Unfortunately, hope was replaced by terrible news - the soldier died in battle, remaining faithful to his military oath and the Ukrainian people to the end.

He was only 29 years old.

Maxim was a man with a big heart. A loving son, a caring husband, a reliable friend — he always found a kind word for others, knew how to support, sincerely empathized and valued people. This is how he will be remembered by his family, friends, brothers and sisters, and everyone who was lucky enough to know Maxim.

In the village of Kostiantovka, the Zmiiv community accompanied its Defender, sailor Maksym Kalinichenko, who gave his life for the freedom and independence of Ukraine, to his final journey.

Maksym Kalinichenko was born on June 12, 1995 in the village of Kostiantovka. He studied at Zmiiv Lyceum No. 2, after which he obtained the profession of rolling stock mechanic-repairman at the Kharkiv Technical School of Railway Transport. He worked at the Kharkiv Tram Depot, where he was known as a responsible, hardworking and sincere colleague.

After completing his military service, Maksym returned to civilian work. On April 12, 2024, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a gunner in the marine unit of the marine platoon of the marine company of the marine battalion of the military unit A4548.

In September 2024, Maksym got married. Together with his wife, they made plans for the future, dreamed of a happy family life. But the war mercilessly cut short these dreams.

On October 25, 2024, while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Bogoyavlenka, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region, Maksym went missing. For many months, his family lived in hope, waiting and believing that he would return home. Unfortunately, the worst was confirmed - the soldier died, remaining faithful to his military oath and the Ukrainian people until his last breath. He will forever remain 29 years old.

Maxim was a kind, sincere and sensitive person. A loving son, a faithful husband, a reliable friend - he was always ready to support, help and share someone else's pain. This is how he will be remembered by all who had the honor of knowing this courageous warrior. The Zmiiv community bows its heads to the bright memory of Maxim Kalinichenko.
