Moroz Serhiy Volodymyrovych 08/17/1982 - 08/02/2026

Defending Ukraine from the Russian aggressor, our compatriot, Serhiy Moroz, a resident of the village of Sokolove, died.

The sad news was announced by the Zmiiv City Council.

Serhiy was born on August 17, 1982 in the village of Sokolove. He studied at the Sokolovskaya comprehensive school, after which he began his working career. Kind, sincere and open to people, he was the soul of the company, had many friends and was always ready to support those around him.

The greatest value for Serhiy was his family. He was a loving father of three sons and raised his wife's daughter as his own child, giving her care, love, and paternal warmth.

On December 10, 2023, Serhiy joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend his native land, his children, and the future of our state. Private Moroz Serhiy, a marksman of the 1st mechanized detachment of the 2nd mechanized platoon of the 9th mechanized company of the 3rd mechanized battalion of military unit A1302, remained faithful to his military oath until his last breath. He died on August 2, 2026 in the battle for Ukraine, its freedom, and independence near the settlement of Bohdanivka, Donetsk region.

On August 6, the Defender of Ukraine from the village of Sokolove, Serhiy Moroz, was taken to his final earthly journey in the Zmiiv community.

Private Moroz Serhiy, marksman of the 1st mechanized detachment of the 2nd mechanized platoon of the 9th mechanized company of the 3rd mechanized battalion of military unit A1302, died on August 2, 2026 in the battle for Ukraine, its freedom and independence near the settlement of Bohdanivka, Donetsk region.

Friends, fellow villagers, representatives of local authorities, and brothers of the deceased came to say goodbye to Serhiy and pay their last respects and support his family.
