🕯 ZMIIV COMMUNITY IN MOURNING: SERGEY NEKRASOV RETURNS HOME ON A SHIELD

The war took the life of our fellow countryman, soldier Serhiy Nekrasov, who until his last breath performed his military duty, defending Ukraine. The city council reported another painful loss for the Zmiiv community.

Serhiy was born on July 28, 1979 in the village of Zadonetske. His childhood was not easy - he was orphaned early, and after the death of his parents, his grandmother took care of him. It was she who instilled in him hard work, decency, and strength of character.

After graduating from Zadonetsk school, Serhiy worked in the local forestry, later in the Zmiivskyi REM. His last place of peaceful work was a gas station. Despite life's trials, he did not lose faith in the future. In 2005, he started a family, raised his son Roman with his wife, worked, and made plans for a peaceful life.

But the war changed everything. Almost from the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Serhiy joined the ranks of the defenders of Ukraine. He courageously carried out combat missions, remaining faithful to his military oath and the Ukrainian people.

On May 29, 2025, soldier Sergey Nekrasov, a grenade launcher of the rifle department of the rifle platoon of the rifle company of the military unit A4017, heroically died near the settlement of Fedorivka, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region. For more than a year, he was considered missing. All this time, the family lived on hope. But today this hope has been replaced by the bitter pain of irreparable loss.

The hero returns to his native community on a shield.

On June 29, the Zmiiv community sadly said goodbye to their fellow countryman, soldier Serhiy Nekrasov, who gave his life defending Ukraine from the Russian aggressor.

The farewell ceremony took place in the central park of the city of Zmiiv. Relatives, friends, comrades, representatives of the city council, and residents of the community came to pay their last respects to the Hero. After the farewell, Serhiy Nekrasov was buried in the cemetery in the city of Zmiiv.

On May 29, 2025, soldier Sergey Nekrasov, a grenade launcher of the rifle section of the rifle platoon of the rifle company of military unit A4017, heroically died near the settlement of Fedorivka, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region. He was considered missing for over a year.

The Zmiiv community expresses its sincere condolences to the wife, son, relatives, friends, and brothers of the fallen Defender.

The bright memory of Serhiy Nekrasov will forever remain in our hearts as a symbol of courage, honor, and boundless love for Ukraine.
