ANOTHER VETERAN FROM THE ZMIIV COMMUNITY STARTED A REHABILITATION COURSE AT THE REGIONAL HOSPITAL FOR WAR VETERANS

Oleksandr Tkachenko is a war veteran and a person with a disability as a result of the war. While defending Ukraine, he lost his hand. After what he experienced, the man faced severe phantom pain and sought help from the Department for Veterans and War Participants of the Social Protection Department of the Zmiiv City Council.

The department's specialists organized a consultation with a neurosurgeon in Kharkiv for the veteran. Currently, Oleksandr is awaiting surgery and further prosthetics. Also, with the assistance of the department, he began a two-week rehabilitation course at the Regional War Veterans Hospital, which will help improve his physical and emotional condition before further treatment.

Let us remind you that this is the second veteran from the Zmiiv community who is undergoing rehabilitation at this medical facility.

Andriy Yaroshenko recently successfully completed a two-week course.

The Zmiiv City Council will continue to support our Defenders and help them on their path to recovery, adaptation, and return to a full life.
